As one of Rodney's students, since June 07, I have been tutored in his 'tonal' techniques, renowned in the era of Da Vinci and his contemporaries, where outlines or detailed drawing is unnecessary to achieve a beautiful and complete skin tone.

Using charcoal and chalk with my fingers only on brown paper and board I have achieved facial tones of an astonishing high quality. I am currently concentrating on portraiture and have surprised myself with the outcome. Thank you Rodney for your fabulous training.
